CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)

At the BSH we continue to support our students after they graduate. We recognise that new homoeopaths and indeed those who have been in practice for many years, need to continue their homoeopathic learning and personal development.

Our Principal and Core Team are available for advice, supervision and support to all Graduates that request it. All graduates are kept in touch with latest BSH developments through regular e-mails, newsletters, our website and the post.

We run a series of CPD events during the year, ranging from peer supervision to workshops, lectures and special seminars. The program is not cast in stone and we consult with Graduates to identify what their CPD needs are. Recent CPD events have included: EFT with Judy Byrne, Narayani Remedies with Nimisha Parekh, Foreign travel and immunisations with Trevor Gunn.

On 6th December Mike Bridger will be holding a seminar day at the British School of Homoeopathy in Bath. The plan is to offer an essential D.I.Y guide to running a successful practice.

This is how an attendee of a similar day described the seminar:-

If gravity is losing its grip on you and you feel you are floating up into the ether then this day will bring you gently back to earth. As you re-enter the atmosphere you will hear Mike’s reassuring words about the importance of process, diagnosis and the patients’ pilgrimage. As the remedy is designed to empower the patient, so Mike makes it his crusade to empower students and practitioners alike, by persuading them to stick to the ridiculously obvious, to be as stupid as possible and to forget everything they have been taught to date. He will remind you why you became a homeopath in the first place and what it means to be one. By the time you land you will be lighter than a feather and full of facts and info that will transform the way you practice.

Apart from a review of basic principles, such as ‘the unprejudiced observer’ Mike continues with his work on case mapping and remedy maps. This along with information on the acute and chronic remedies tells you what to do when the remedy only partially works/does nothing/aggravates/ so that you will always know what is up ahead for the patient from the very first prescription. Mike has been called the A.A man of homeopathy; you need him in a crisis.

On this occasion Mike wants also to review nosodes and miasms, Syphilis and Syphilinum. He is also happy to provide an opportunity for participants to bring difficult cases and to see them mapped out before their eyes.

Mike Bridger has been practicing in the U.K for twenty five years and teaching for almost as long. He has taught at most of the colleges in the U.K and internationally in Ireland, the U.S.A, Iceland, and Finland. He is the Principal of The Contemporary College of Homeopathy in Exeter, Devon and co- director of The Orion Postgraduate Training Course held annually in London UK. He has spoken at conferences in the USA, U.K and Ireland.

The cost of the day is £55 and CPD certificates will be provided.
